Inception

Catalyst East Africa (CEA) was founded as a small community initiative dedicated to bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and tangible solutions.

2022

NGO Structure & Expansion

Established robust NGO structures focusing on local community support. By September 2022, operations expanded beyond the initial region to reach more communities across East Africa.

2023

Corporate Formalisation

Transitioned to a formal structure as a Company Limited by Guarantee. In August 2023, CEA joined the SECRE Network, solidifying its identity as a centre of excellence.

Rebrand & Relaunch

Emerging as a premier corporate for-profit consultancy bridging global capital with East African projects, focussing on high-stakes investment sourcing, project financing, and community-led models.
